GOALS OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM
- To train outstanding imaging scientists at the PhD level
Courses include:
Introduction to MRI, Magnetic Resonance Technology, Nuclear Imaging in Medicine and Biology, Ultrasonic Imaging, Biomedical Optics, Practical NMR Spectroscopy and Imaging, Introduction to Medical Imaging, Reconstruction algorithms, Molecular Imaging
- To train students in-depth in the biological sciences
Courses include:
Cell and Molecular Biology for Engineers, Genes and Gene Expression, Regulation of Cell Function, Structure and Function of Biomolecules, Cellular Basis of Disease, Molecular Genetics
- To apply imaging principles and methods to study systems in vivo
- To experience the work environment in industry and work closely with imaging industries
- Combine expertise of sixteen trainers representing nine departments and four different UC Davis schools
