We welcome Allison Hoch back to UC Davis from her 10 months in Basel, Switzerland. Upon her return, Allie has been awarded a fellowship in the UC Davis Biotechnology Training Program, as well as an Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Scholarship.
Samir Batarni has been selected to participate in the Biology Scholars Advanced Research Program (BSHARP) for 2013 and 2014.
Caroline Vissers has been selected as a Beckman Scholar for 2013-2014.
Sophia Fang presented her research at the Mayo Clinic through the CTSC Training Program.
Ganesh Ingavle has been named a Marie Curie Research Fellow to conduct research at the University of Brighton, starting in Fall 2013.

Congratulations to Steve Ho for winning a 2012 Whitaker International Fellowship. Steve will be going to Zurich, Switzerland at ETHZ (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) next summer to work in the Skeletal Tissue Engineering Group at the Institute of Biomechanics under Professor Ralph Müller and Dr. Sandra Hofmann.
